Professor Tim Savage - Technology and Learning in Higher Education

Dr Tim Savage is an Assistant Professor in Technology and Learning in the School of Computer Science and Statistics. He has nearly 20 years' experience researching the role and potential of technology in learning and education with a particular focus on higher education. He is a member of the Centre for Research in IT in Education group (CRITE).
Dr Savage previously served as the University's first Associate Dean of Online Education leading the online education project. He and the online education team worked on the design, development and delivery of world class online education to postgraduate students through a suite of accredited courses. They also developed and delivered Trinity’s massive open online courses (MOOCs) on the FutureLearn platform.
His current research focus is on educational innovation and technology integration in Higher Education and the emerging field of Digital Scholarship. He sits on the eLearning Thematic Group of the League of European Research Universities (LERU) on behalf of College and the Education, Training, and Assessment subcommittee of the National Adult Literacy Association (NALA)Dr Savage is a CAPSL Teaching Fellow for the academic year 2017 - 2018.
