During master's at IIIT, I worked as a teaching assistant for the two courses Statistical Methods in AI (Instructor : Prof. Anoop Namboodiri) and Cognitive Neuroscience (Instructors : Prof. Bapi Raju, Prof. Priyanka Srivastava and Prof. Kavita Vemuri) in Monsoon 2014 and Spring 2014 semesters. The responsibilities included taking tutorial sessions, evaluating the answer sheets and mentoring course projects. I found the act of presenting before a class of students very fulfilling and enjoyed the job thoroughly. My interest to work in academia grew in these two semesters.
I worked here with a team of developers in Traffic Video Analysis. This company works in Machine Learning and Computer Vision using Artificial Neural Networks. I work with the team to understand, improve and implement the existing algorithms in Deep Neural Networks. It has a small team doing quality work. Since it is a small team, every member stays associated with everything from project planning, developing the product to marketing and fund raising. It has been a great learning experience from the beginning.
