RADICal
The RADICal project aims to develop novel algorithms for on-set VR pre-visualisation in the entertainment industry to speed-up production and improve performances from actors playing the role of virtual characters. In our novel project, we will bring together Science, Arts and Technology to enable the creation of movie characters for the next generation of filmmaking.

Game Face
There is an increase in popularity of games using interactive storytelling which require virtual characters to deliver complex emotional performances. Current methods used for animating the faces of these characters fall short on delivery of emotion and expressiveness. Our novel project is the first to address this issue by running experiments on observers and using their opinions to alter the technology. Our industry collaborators are Havok.
Cartoon Motion
A skilled 3D animator can create the same expressiveness in virtual characters that is commonly found in traditional animation. However, this process can be very time consuming and expensive. In this novel project, we aim to address this issue by developing tools to automatically create motion that captures the idiosyncrasies of the human actor, yet incorporates artistic stylizations. Our industry collaborators are Brown Bag Films.
POPULATE
POPULATE, which is the acronym for "POPULate AsymmeTric mobile gamEs", is an Innovation Action in the field of mobile games. The POPULATE project proposes, on a 18 months development, the creation of a prototype platform for developing new genres of asymmetric mobile games, that will be more captivating, collaborative and interactive than previous mobile games.
