The aim of this course is to provide students with a deep understanding
of the theory and techniques behind real time animation. We will explore
computer animation and advanced issues such as behavioural animation
and motion capture and also look at specific fundamental concepts such
as interpolation.
Students will get the opportunity to develop a number of practical animation projects in OpenGL, and also a final higher-level project Unreal Engine 4. For the final project, each student will create a short movie incorporating the animation techniques they have learned and some advanced techniques. See below some great examples of student projects from the last 2 years.
