Congratulations to our new Fellow at SCSS
Professor Doug Leith was appointed as Professor of Computer Systems at the School in 2014.
Doug graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1986 and was awarded his PhD, also from the University of Glasgow, in 1989. Following a period at the University of Strathclyde as Senior Lecturer/Royal Society University Research Fellow, he moved to the National University of Ireland, Maynooth in 2001 to establish the Hamilton Institute, an applied mathematics research institute of which he was founding Director.
Doug's current research interests include wireless networks, network congestion control, distributed optimisation, scalable algorithms and data privacy.
