Squid Internship Programme

Our Internship Program provides an opportunity to work in the early stages of an exciting Startup, and contribute directly to our live products. We are looking for an enthusiastic and high-achieving candidate to join us and help us to improve and scale these products. SQUID is growing quickly, and we are looking for fast learners who are excited about building something that is used by thousands of people every day.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with a supportive, growing product team who believe in a collaborative learning environment, and will provide a basis to improve and learn every day
  • Develop new features from high-level specs and designs, and take autonomy of your own work
  • Improve our current code and system
  • You will work on system testing, diagnosing issues, and bug testing our mobile app and web platform while learning how everything works as an ecosystem
  • Play a part in every stage of the development life-cycle including planning, implementation, testing, and rollout

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a strong fundamental understanding of Computer Science, with experience in planning, developing, and testing code through college projects or personal projects.
  • Have an interest and some knowledge in both Frontend and Backend systems, and how the two are built to work together.
  • Have an ability to learn as they go, and are not intimidated by unfamiliar systems or projects
  • Are genuinely passionate about high level problem solving, and strive to improve both their technical skills, and the product they’re working on.
  • People who are excited by every step of the creation process, and can communicate well to work as part of a team.
