Role Overview

Rapid7 is seeking talented software engineering students to join our product team for a six month internship. The engineering teams in Dublin design, build and continuously deliver new features for some of Rapid7’s large-scale and innovative core products and shared services. 

As an intern at Rapid7 you will:

  • Have the opportunity to work with highly skilled engineers on challenging problems
  • Work on each stage of the software life cycle, 
  • Create software in the log management and data visualisation domains using the latest agile approaches
  • Deliver new product features to the Rapid7 production system 
  • Enhance your coding skills by learning how to write high quality code for customer-facing projects
  • Analyse and develop solutions for complex customer issues
  • Follow team’s agile methodology

Successful candidates will be:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
  • Problem solvers
  • Skilled in front-end software development (e.g. Javascript)
  • Experienced in object oriented software development (e.g. Java)
  • Knowledgeable in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
  • Experienced in data structures and algorithms 
  • Knowledgeable in database languages such as NoSQL or SQL
  • Good team players who contribute in meaningful ways
