Hosted and Sponsored by the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College, University of Dublin
The 17th International Workshop on Implementation and Application of Functional Languages was held in Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland in September 2005. It was hosted by the Department of Computer Science in Trinity College, University of Dublin .
The IFL workshops form a tradition that has lasted for nearly two decades. The aim of these workshops is to bring together researchers actively engaged in the implementation and application of functional and function-based programming languages. They provide an open forum for researchers who wish to present and discuss new ideas and concepts, work in progress, preliminary results, etc. related primarily but not exclusively to the implementation and application of functional languages.
The change of the workshop name adding the term "application" is to reflect the broader scope IFL has gained over recent years.
The workshop was organised under the auspices of the IFL Steering Committee.
The workshop organisation chair was Dr Andrew Butterfield,
Department of Computer Science, Trinity College, University of Dublin.
