Dublin has been the focus of explosive economic growth in Ireland; always a lively place, it is now a more multicultural and cosmopolitan city, with a wide array of social and cultural activities available to the visitor. It is also a city on a human scale, with the majority of interesting destinations within walking distance of the city centre.
