Air Travel

Dublin Airport is situated approximately 10km north of the city centre. There is only one international airport in Dublin. Most major airlines fly to Dublin airport. Aerlingus is our national airline, and Ryanair offer cheap flights to Dublin.

Airport to City Centre

If you are arriving by air, the quickest way to get to the college is by taxi. Taxis from the airport to the city centre cost approximately €25.

Coaches or regular buses are the other options to get to the city centre.

Aircoach and 747 Airlink are the coaches which cost approximately €7, and stop on Grafton Street, which is right beside Trinity College. You can pay the coach driver in notes, and he will provide change.

Regular buses: Dublinbus 16 and 41 cost €2.80, but take longer than the coaches. You pay for the ticket on the bus and you will need exact change in coins (notes not accepted, and no change given). There is also a ticket machine outside the airport bus stop where you can get a 90min multi-journey ticket. Regular buses will take you to O'Connell Street (recognisable by the Spire monument). From there, the front gates of Trinity College are directly south, on the opposite side of the River Liffey.
