According to Vodafone 360 support websites and also blogs, the
backup/restore of Samsung H1 Contacts phonebook is impossible,
let alone their transfer to an Android phone.
This is not true. It can be done as follows:
----------------------------------------------
1. Download and install Samsung's New_PC_Studio_1.5.1.10124_2.exe
This is a non Vodafone 360 (i.e. non-VF) version that allows
transfer of Samsung H1 Contacts phonebook to/from mobile <-> PC.
2. Download and install Samsung's KiesSetup_2.6.0.13074_14.exe
This is an Android-compatible version that allows transfer
of Contacts phonebook to/from Android mobile <-> PC.
3. Run New PC Studio.
4. Connect Samsung H1 to USB.
Select "PC Studio" on mobile when asked.
Wait for it to be recognised.
5. Run "Phonebook" widget of New PC Studio to backup phonebook.
Be sure to specify unique datestamped files/subdirectories.
(a) transfer mobile phonebook -> PC file in .npf format
(b) transfer mobile phonebook -> PC file in .csv format
(c) transfer mobile phonebook -> PC subdirectory in .vcf format
6. You now have backups of your raw H1 phonebook in 3 formats !!!
7. Disconnect H1 from USB and exit New PC Studio.
8. Run Kies.
9. Connect Android mobile to USB.
Wait for it to be recognised.
10. Select Android mobile phone phonebook to backup phonebook.
Be sure to specify unique datestamped files/subdirectories.
(a) transfer mobile phonebook -> PC file in .spb format
(b) transfer mobile phonebook -> PC file in .csv format
(c) transfer mobile phonebook -> PC subdirectory in .vcf format
(d) transfer SIM phonebook -> PC file in .spb format
(e) transfer SIM phonebook -> PC file in .csv format
(f) transfer SIM phonebook -> PC subdirectory in .vcf format
11. You now have backups of your raw Android phonebook in 3 formats !!!
12. Select Library phonebook and open H1 backup .csv file.
This loads your H1 phonebook into Kies.
13. Transfer Library phonebook -> Android SIM phonebook.
This will merge the Samsung H1 phonebook into the Android
phone's SIM phonebook.
14. Backup the final merged SIM phonebook.
Be sure to specify unique datestamped files/subdirectories.
(d) transfer SIM phonebook -> PC file in .spb format
(e) transfer SIM phonebook -> PC file in .csv format
(f) transfer SIM phonebook -> PC subdirectory in .vcf format
