I am an Assistant Professor in Statistics in the Discipline of Statistics and Information Systems at the School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin. I am interested in computational statistics, especially Bayesian computation. Applications of statistics in medicine and mHealth form an important part of my current research. In particular, combining health data arising from multiple sources to improve patient care. Non-standard sample size determination, towards statistical planning, is an area I have recently developed an interest in.
Editorial and reviewing activities
I served as an Associate Editor for Statistics and Computing from 2016-2021.
I have acted as a reviewer for a number of journals and conferences including Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics, JRSSB, JRSSC, Bayesian Analysis, Pattern Recognition Letters, Annals of Applied Statistics, AISTATS, COMPSTAT, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Royal Society Open Science, NIPS, Electronic Journal of Statistics, Scientific Reports.
Mathematics with Statistics minor degree
I am the programme coordinator for the new Mathematics with Statistics minor degree. There is an information video on the programme here. If you are a mathematics student interested in pursuing this course of study and would like to discuss it further, please get in touch.
Address: 146 Lloyd Institute, School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinty College Dublin, Dublin 2, Ireland.
