Irene Macaluso

I am a Research Fellow with the CTVR Telecommunications Research Group., based at Trinity College Dublin. My research focuses on cognitive radio and machine learning. In particular, I am interested in machine learning for dynamic spectrum access and resource management in wireless networks.

In 2003 I obtained an MSc in Computer Engineering at the University of Palermo. My thesis was about the development of a computer vision system for controlling an anthropomorphic robotic hand. In 2007 I obtained a Ph.D. at University of Palermo in the Department of Computer Engineering. My thesis focused on the development of a robotic architecture for indoor museum tour-guide robots. In 2008 I joined CTVR Telecommunications Research Group, where I am currently working on learning approaches for reconfigurable wireless networks. A more detailed CV can be found here.
