About myself

As a postgraduate student of Trinity College Dublin (TCD), I am currently pursuing a Ph.D research within the field of digital content management as part of the Center for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL) consortium.

I am also involved as co-founder in Linguabox.biz, a Language Training Web Application, providing unlimited personalized language training exercises for free.

Following 3 consecutive awards for the completion of both my B.A.I. Degree in Computer Engineering (2006) and M.Sc. in Networks and Distributed Systems (2007) within TCD, I collaborated with a team of 8 researchers in an Enterprise Ireland funded start up project in peer-to-peer web search, based on the output of my MSc research.

At a later stage, I simultaneously was involved in setting up Taxstream LLC’s new European headquarters in Dublin (now part of Thomson Reuters) .

Since 2009, I have been pursing a Ph.D within the area of content slicing technologies under Prof. Vincent Wade's supervision

Doctoral Research Interests

My doctoral research investigates the combination of semantic web and natural language processing technologies within the context of automated digital content reuse.

This research explores the notion 'content slicing', consisting in the automated harvesting, fragmentation and annotation of open corpus content, available on the web, for the purpose of personalization technologies.

More specifically, the ultimate objective of this investigation will aim to provide a novel content service, increasing the commercial value of content, by automatically transforming pre-existing single purpose content into reusable multi-purpose fine grained resources called 'Slices' supporting requirements of the adaptive community.
