IWFM01: Directions

The Fifth Irish Workshop in Formal Methods is being held in the Hamilton Building in Trinity College Dublin on the 16th and 17th of July, 2001.

Finding TCD

Trinity College, Dublin is located in the center of Dublin. The college has a number of maps online showing both the surrounding city and the layout of the campus. A larger map can be found here.

Finding the building

The Hamilton building is located at the extreme East end of Trinity College (see map). When you enter the building, follow the signs to find the IWFM01 registration desk (you are looking for the Maxwell theatre in the Hamilton building). If you cannot find us just ask the staff who are usually based near the building doorways.

Entering via Front gate

If you enter the TCD campus via front gate (at college green) then you should walk the full length of the campus to find the building.

Entering via Westland Row

Westland Row is the street running directly behind the Hamilton building. There are two entrances to Trinity College on Westland Row. The larger one leads to the revolving door giving access to the O'Reilly Institute, which has a direct connecting door to the Hamilton building (just on your left when you enter the O'Reilly Institute). The second entrance (under the railway bridge) is a pedestrian entrance to the college. If you enter via this gate just follow the perimiter of the building around to your left until you encounter a set of stone steps leading up to glass doors. These doors give access to the Hamilton building.

If you arriving by train then you should try to make your way to Pearse street Dart station (which is in fact on Westland Row). The TCD entrances are directly opposite the station exit.

Parking

There is an NCP car park available on Pearse Street (which runs along the North wall of TCD). The car park is along this road and slightly east of TCD. Unfortunatly TCD does not have sufficient on-campus parking to allow delegates to part within the campus.
